Of course the picture on the cover is a 4th Gen, but the title says 1993-1999 so you can take a chance

are you serious? it's clear as day it's for a 4th gen...you're selling it...flip through it..is it giving you information about a VG and VE motor on 3rd gens?

take a chance? really man?

i had (or still have somewhere) that exact book for 93-99 Maxima, im almost certain it covered 93 and 94 VE SE only. 89-94 GXE have the exact same drivetrain so it wouldnt make sense to divide up the years like that for GXE

I have that book, yes it cover both VG and VE engines! The real question is how much details, how specific and what kind of repair job do you need to do. Some people recommend the Chilton repair book, the chilton seem to be "too light" on the details, in my opinion.

You can find the Haynes at any walmary, autozone or advance auto under $20. I like it so far.

100%. 3rd gen 1989-1994 GXE only had VG30E SOHC. 92-94 SE got VE30DE, twin came engine that was only available in those 3 years of Maxima.

there was a such thing as VG30DE but never factory in a Maxima. non-turbo Z32, Leopard, Gloria, and i think 1 or 2 other vehicles had twin cam VG30DE but Maximas only had SOHC VG30E

its probably just a type in that book, im surprised they never noticed it while proof reading. the D must have slipped in

Take a look at the link cmax03 gave you! The 8th one down for 23.95 is your best bet. That's the dealer fsm and it's as thick as a phone book. good luck pdf"n that one and printing it off it's about 3" thick atleast and i believe it comes with a complete wiring diagram too.

It does It comes with everything we need....I love books over pdf. files....
I can take that book anywhere and don't need wireless connectivity in the junkyard, at a friends house, working on another 3rd gen not at my garage....Books are for me better! I can have it right there and not have to keep printing stuff out or worrying about the cell phone battery getting low... or not looking at the complete wiring diagram just a portion or section of it cause my cell phone screen isn't big enough! Anyways order a book and move on!
