Anyone ever use the JWT s1 or s2 cams in their n/a 3rd gen vg30e? If so what did you think of them? and were you n/a or turbo.?

 

No,... but I'm running Nissan Motorsport Isky cams (.425"/256*) considered the torque cam....I love them! This engine responds well to porting, cams, intake and exhaust mods!

 

I'm running Schneider Cams. Use your stock units and they do a cam grind to modify them. Great quality and might save some money.

+1 with Carlton, if you're going to move in the direction of cams, it's silly not to spend some money on head work to maximize potential. Schneider also sells high revving valve springs. I suggest going ahead and replacing valve seals and lifters. Individually not expensive, it does add up. But again, intake and exhaust is where this engine makes it's power.

 

If you are interested in regrinds Zcar offers alot of regrinds which are cheaper....I personally like new castings!
