maxine my summer project

Hey guys so I've had my 93 se for a couple years and keep saying I'll get to it I'll get to it.

But this is the summer I've got a parts car in the back and Maxine in the front my daily driver.

I've managed a couple quick fixes to start off spring today

Daytime running
Lock timer
Newish wing high mount housing.

I've thrown on some matte black 17 x7.5 wrapped with nitto motivo 225/45r17

Quick list of my to do list for now
Replace both axles with remanned from parts car
New cat back *twin piping *
Cold air or ram
Fix vtc (other solution?)
Coil over (if the money is right)
Fix rust in wells
Plastidip ( matte grey? )

Btw my name is Greg from Calgary Alberta

couple notes

1. ram air intakes suck in hot air and lose power, stock air filter is best
2. you can ground the VTCs
3. you cant run coilovers, 3rd gen suspension is too short to utilize them. lowering springs are about as best as you can do

If you're doing the water pump, good time to do the timing chain and associated bits while you're already digging in there and taking most of the stuff out that you'd need to remove for the chain anyways.

Also, I trust you meant brand new/reman pump and thermostat, while getting a used radiator, correct? Your wording implied used parts all around!

My parts car had a reman water pump installed on it 6 months before I bought it.

Was planning on pulling it from there.

But then again they are only like $50 cad anyway so we'll see.

I have a spare that I pulled from this car it needs to be remanned but honestly you don't want it. The last two months I was smacking it with my wheel lock key to get it to turn on again. And the housing is cracked but if you want it it's yours here is my email. Gregpolachuk@gmail.com

Well. K&n is in. Alternator failed so new belts done.

Didn't have the time for water pump which sucks cause I have to undo what I have done to do that later but time is money.

Doing a 9004-9007 light convert
Pulling off the wing and remounting after a clean up.
this week

I found a not broken sunroof and acquired it for $50 so that's going to replace my broken one
Dying head liner black

This list keeps growing.

RIP MAXIMUS My gold 5spd has officially been deemed undrivable and become his sister MAXINE's parts car. Today he donated his coolant hoses, suspension, axles.

Today was spent installing front and rear 6.5's and 2 12' subs and 400w amp

Man its a lot of work to replace and install everything in this car but so worth it.

so obviously summer is over i got a lot done this summer.

i'm looking at 290,000k around the corner i hope this motor will hold i don't have all its history but from what i've come across this car was babied before i got it alas not knowing motor history and not having time to get into the top end this year i can now only hope its gonna last winter (so far so good).

my Plans for spring/warm time in winter (no garage, lost my job so no shop)
correct ebrake tension

Pull Gold car motor/trans work on doing a "rebuild" and 5 speed swap.

Purchase/Create full exhaust system for "new" motor (something that will crush souls)

obtain money for following (sourced)
new struts x4
lowering springs
front links
front rear sways
yata yata everything else that comes with putting a motor back in (bushings, mounts)

can't wait for the new season.

hope you guys all survive the winter.

Good news the cars mechanically fine.

Kinda played 50-60k/ph bumper car with a nissan titan

Minor body damage to right front qtr pannel. Driveable.

Everyone involved is okay and unharmed.

Update.

So I've been seeing everyone's shiney turbo ve30's and I've decided to be different.

I'm going to be the first to supercharge a ve30 I've got a friend how knows nistune well and after some discussion he loves the idea and is 100% down to tune for free.

There you go guys.

So here's the new to do list and I'm hoping by spring I'll be done

Source vortec v3 and create bracket to make this craziness happen.
Buy nistune type3 board
Rebuild as best possible extra motor and trans 370cc+ injectors so on so forth
5spd swap
Manufacture crap ton of misc non Oem equipment.
Every other nic nac
Cross brace and sway bars
Sway links
Lowering springs
Tune
Get stupid.

Wish me luck

185168 to be exact.

Took some initial measurements today for bracket placements

Hardest part of my plan looks to be finding a home for this supercharger.

I might just cut my hood and put a scoop in the lower passenger end... but we'll see if I want looks over function or vise versa haha but this is getting done.
