I have a '93 with a similar problem. Check the gap between the roof and the door frame, and compare it to the rear door gap at the roof. My driver's door gap is wider, I will tweak the top of the door frame a bit to get it closer to the roof. This will put more pressure on the weatherstripping, and create a better seal.

there is really no way to completely eliminate this problem....just make sure that your window is all the way up...I tried using weather striping between the door and the car...but that really did nothing but make a mess for me to clean up....let me know if you get something to work.
