Because the injector harness connections are better on the 94 than the 92 with those wire clips and rubber boots and my harness was gone through looking for a short at one point I was just wondering even though the vin #'s are different could I use the 94 3rd Gen VG harness to swap out the one on my 92 VG with no issues?

I'm using a '92 engine harness on my blue turbo '93. Only thing I had to change was the AC compressor plug, like jbbons said. I just cut it off and switched the plug. Of course my cars are VE's, but I believe you should be good to go as well.

The main engine harness should be the same from '92 VG to '94 VG. Or try going to courtesyparts.com and see if the part numbers match for those model years. They should match but most likely the A/C plug could be different. Just cut and splice and you'll be good to go.

Thanks guys, I pulled a fair number of good parts off my friends 94 before it went to the scrapyard but i didn't wind up taking the harness off after all. It didn't appear to be in any better shape than my 92 but i do prefer the plastic clips with the push tabs for the injector part of the harness vs. the rubber boots that crack and deteriorate along with the metal clips which if not carefull easily get lost.

I've got a thread to do the injectors....there's more involved than just the wiring!
