Ha HA! Seafoam fixed injector
Ha HA! Seafoam fixed injector
I've had a miss and it seemed to be the #6 injector. Last week I put 1/2 can of seafoam and a 1/2 tank of gas in and drove about 30 min and still had the miss. Parked it for a week. Got in it this afternoon, drove about 10 minutes, and it was like the after-burner kicked in! Damn, she's back! I need to go drive some more to be sure it stays clear...
Best thing I've ever used on clogged injectors is BG 44K.
I've tried seafoam and numerous other things to no avail. 1/8 can of 44K in 1/8 tank of gas, and the car is always running smooth again in 5-10 minutes of running on the mix. Then I just fill up the tank with 93 to dilute it and keep driving. (I've had issues in the past with really strong cleaners eating up carb jets and injectors, so I'm wary of leaving the stuff in there at a high concentration.)
It's like $30 a can nowadays, but the stuff WORKS.

Does the engine run rough, but steady like its missing a beat? Or does it studder and cough irregularly? What you described could be several things, but it's possible to narrow it down if you can tell more about it.
