cuttin' lowered springs on my maxima

all my friends have been tellin' me to cut my lowerin' springs on my maxima cuz it still looks kinda high. so they have been tellin' me that if i cut my lowerin' springs my car won't bounce alot. others have told me the opposite. and others have told me that if i cut my stock springs it would still bounce but alot more. now i need to know if i can cut my arospeed lowerin' springs or not i still have my stock shocks on my maxima. but if i cut my lowerin' springs am i still goin' to bounce . the springs only lowers my car 1.75" but i wanna just cut the front ones at least up to 2" to even it out with the rear end of the car. so i need ur suggestions as to what i can do. now my friend that cut his springs has a '91 accord and his car doesn't bounce. so let me know guyz.

cutting springs isn't reccomended, but if you must there are shops that custom cut springs..I think this would be the "safer" route to go than doing it yourself....BUT CUTTING SPRINGS ISN'T RECCOMENDED!!!

I cut my springs and I highly recommend that you don't make the same choice unless you only use these springs when attending car shows (like I did).

You've lowered your car and you're still using the stock shocks/struts??? That's bad. Your stock struts weren't made for that. They need more travel. You should replace your shocks/struts before you go cutting your springs and making your car ride like crap. Just a suggestion, for what it's worth...

It really is up to you I have been cutting springs for a while and my buddy has been doing it for over 10 years. Just make sure they dont use a torch. I only recommend using a plasma cutter or a grinding wheel. I f you do decide to let someone cut them check out some of their work first and ask the owner of the car if they have had any probs. I cut my front springs 3 months ago and my tires are still like new and my ride is a little more bounce on large humps and stiff on ruts and holes but i can live with it! Its up to you its your car not ours! Good Luck guy!!
