Big Brake Kits

I found a company called FastBrakes that makes maxima big brakes kits. They use Wilwood 4piston calipers and pads, and they made their own 12.2" rotors and all the adapters. The kit retail for aroun $999, but I can get a better price if anyone would be intersted. I just wanted to know if people would be interested so I can determine if its worth setting up a formal group deal.

Their site is http://www.fastbrakes.com/pages/kits/maxima.htm

you can get a better price using what?!

The rotor hats will have to be custom made, and those calipers are $200 each. custom hats run you about $250 a set, unless you do it yourself. then the rotors are another $65 each, and pads are $60/set.

200 x2
250
65x2
60
---------------

that puts you at $840 just in parts, let alone brake line hoses and adaptors, packaging and selling them and making a profit..

Wanna shoot me some numbers?

and FYI, Wilwood Dynalite calipers are too small. Pads won't last more than 3 weeks on our car using rotors that size. don't ask how I know.

I worked out a deal with FastBrakes. The more I can sell the better the price will be. If I can get atleast 5 that would be interested, I can sell them closer to the low $800's a piece. If I can only get 1 or 2 people intersted, they will be closer to 900-950.

Its just that before I actually spend my time running a group deal, I just want to make sure this is a desired product.

it's a desired product, yes. as for how many will pay for it, that's something else.
FYI, the fastbrakes kit was originally developed by Brian for a member of the board. he has run several group deals already, and they just finished one not too long ago.

I did not bother reading any of the post...
Here is my info:
YOu can get that big brake kit in a slotted/Xdrilled setup with stainless lins and performance pads with a stock sized rear (front brand matched) slotted/Xdrilled rotor set with performance pads and stainless braided lines with MOTUL racing brake fluid from that Co. for $1300 at last quote.

Enjoy.

The fastbrake kit is $999 and all the extra (xdrilled rotors, SS lines, etc) add a couple hundred bucks. Your looking around $1300 retail, but I could get you the kit with the options for probably closer to $1000.

Hows that sound?

Do you recall what his pricing was on the last group deal?

I've forgotten now, but go to the ground deals forum and search for fastbrakes. You should find several posts about it in there.
