3 fixes: Shaking, sputtering, and noisy pulleys.

3 fixes: Shaking, hesitation, sputtering, and noisy pulleys.
Just had my new suspension installed, when ..... my maf goes out, great!!!
I pulled the code from the ECU; 1 long pulse, then 2 short pulses, then entered it in the decoder. :
Solution #1: I cleaned out the MAF with some MAF cleaner the night before, and cleared the code. But turned out to be just a temporary fix, it still would stall when stopped. Off to the salvage yard I go. Out of 8 3rd gen's and 2 salvage yards I finally found one with 230k miles. All 7 others had already been removed. It looked pretty dirty so I used electronic cleaner on it, let it dry off before I replaced it and reset ECU.
It didn't cut-off anymore, but rides kinda rough on acceleration. Going to check out the injectors; still have 5 of the Python rebuilt ones in there, wondering if maybe another one bit the dust.
Today I popped the hood checking for vacuum leaks, nope, nothing happening. I had also been getting loud noises coming from the power steering pump and a/c pulley, I figured let me deal with the matter at hand first.
Solution #2: Then I opened the air box, and checked out the filter looked pretty clean since I had replace around 7k miles ago, the I noticed the foam on the corners was kinda chewed up or missing, so I removed the entire top portion of the air box, to look in it for debris, none there. So I had an extra one in my trunk, it was used but clean, forget were I acquired it, but It was gonna be used today! Changed it, and ran a lot smoother.
Solution #3: I also noticed some corrosion on my distributor ground. Took it a loose, sprayed electronic cleaner, applied thin layer of battery post anti-corrosion spray, reconnected it. And BAM! it eliminated all my pulley noises, and restored some of the lost power.
These crazy **** cars!
