I'm impressed with some of what I've read recently about the JWT ECU. I was already planning on getting a CAI, and definately a new UDP. So, who else has a JWT ECU, and what kind of intake mod (CAI, POP charger, etc. and which brand) have you done? Has anyone with the JWT ECU tried different types of intakes with it?

Yes, I am happy with it. Immediate power especially in mid-high end. I have run the pop charger and our CAI with it. Like the previous poster said, do your y-pipe, intake first, then perhaps mandrel bent b-pipe, then go for the ECU. Maybe you can get a group buy going. All I know is when the day comes that I sell my 93, there will be no trouble getting pretty good money back on the ECU, as 4-5 guys have already asked to get it.No thoughts of selling her yet.

Dan question for ya......I might be getting mine in anohter two weeks or so(if my friend sells his car).....how hard is the install??? do I have to remove the entire bottom center console(radio and driverside kick panel)?? man I hope this deal goes through $200 + my stock ECU for his JWT ECU....man I'm praying!!!!!

I have to be honest. My car was in the body shop because I wrecked it. My body man/mechaniac told me it was a 10 min job. In behind center counsel,simple swap out install. I felt the difference right away.

DAN:....im interested in the b-pipe, well ill haveta get the y-pipe first, but what kind of gains do u get from the b-pipe??

JRicker24 the b-pipe gains are not great. If you do a search the general consenus is 3-4 h/p. I would recommend replacing the cat at the same time if you have over 80K or so on it, some people go alot longer.When I originally had my b-pipe made, I had a custom made b-pipe made out of 304 SS, 2.5 inch. I have to say I didn't notice much, then I bought a Cattman Jet hot y-pipe, I noticed more performance right away. That pipe hung too low,I got a huge dent in it, 2 weeks after install. I showed it to Dallas when he was up from AK, and the rest is history. WarpSpeedPerformance was born, continues to grow, with no plans on stoppin. Our mod list continues to grow and our next mod to make list keeps growing as well.

) but yeah a guy in my club is planning to sell his ride(vg auto) and his JWT ECU is up for sale......man and you guys thought I went crazy when I got my Y-pipe.....ha....wait till this goes through!!!! *knock on wood*

thanks for the info guys. I guess what I'm really wanting to know is if there is one type of cai/pop charger that works best with the JWT ECU. I am currently wavering between the cattman cai and either the wsp or jwt pop charger. There seems to be conflicting opinions in previous posts as to whether the cai is worth the extra $$$ over a simpler cone filter setup.

they actually have 4 different models.
performance on the mandrel bent models will be the same for all 3. the MIG and TIG welded models are simply to keep people from griping. there are a million opinions of which welding method is better, and no matter what was done, someone would complain that it wasn't the best. so they make both.
Both of those models are 304 stainless steel. no performance gain, but they won't rust.
If you live in an area that rust isn't a problem, then I would suggest the aluminized version. it's the "Regular exhaust type" of metal that's used in the rest of your exhaust system. (and if you'll notice, your car is 8+ years old and the stock exhaust system is still intact.. at least on 90% of Maximas).
They also have the non-mandrel bent pipe, which is even less expensive, and doesn't lose much performance. reason the mandrel bent ones cost more is because the labor and machinery required in making the mandrel pipe is much more expensive and involved.
As for your intake question, I would highly suggest the WSP CAI. it's basically the same thing as the cattman (place racing) CAI, and it's $100 cheaper. you do the math.
