VE30DE Mods...

Ok, so Im just trying to figure out the most cost-effective way to add a little more power to my SE. I know about the NWP Spacer and a Y Pipe, but which brand produces more power? Also, Im thinking about a complete exhaust system...any ideas. I heard a Vibrant muffler on a Honda that actually sounded perfect. I may use that for the muffler only. Any other ideas or tips for adding power to the VE?

The mods I felt most on the butt dyno were y-pipe and cold air intake (all the way into the fender). The underdrive pulley is really noticeable too in terms of quicker revs but is not technically a "power adder"

Ok, I will try all of those. I figured that I would fix up this VE engine since it's running so good. Maybe by next year I'll finally get to do the 3.5 swap. Btw, what size spacers were u using to make the wheels poke out like that? (In your youtube video)

That's the one. It made the car "squat" just right. Hopefully with 18 or 19in rims it will have the same affect. What brand y pipe produces the best results?

I'm running a full warpspeed setup from the exhaust manifolds to the 5th gen muffler I got. James's old car was on intrax springs for that "squat" you like. I Wouldn't go any higher than 18's on these cars. Anything bigger and it looks donk'd on 24-26's. (Not attractive if u ask me) I'm running 350z 18x8 square (so need for spacers it's already flush fitment) need to g.o.m.a. and put the BBS's on. 😈

That's true. I think 18's will fit just right...but I do have some pretty thick spacers already. I have 20in deep dish chrome rims that I bought about 8 years ago...still in the box. Im gonna exchange them for some 18in deep dish alloys with a nice chrome lip instead. If you look at the pic below, or my garage, my car is lowered 2inches already on 17in rims...doesnt even look dropped. I forget the brand, but they were orange and only about $125 on ebay. Maybe Megan racing, if im not mistaken it with my Camry.

I'm 2" drop on sprint springs with tokico blues. I got a set of BBS RS 17x10 +42"factory offset " (yeah I know that's wider than anyone else would go). Guess what? It's not your car! Lol.

WSP y-pipe is the best bang for your buck and very noticeable. Id just stick with 18's but thats on you.
