Good to see this place is still alive
When I woke this morning a wave of nostalgia hit. Must've been all of that web searching I've been doing for a new (used) truck these past several days that brought it on, but suddenly I had the itch to revisit the old online haunts.
So maxima.org is one of the places I came.
It's been a while since I've been back to this forum since I haven't owned a Nissan let alone a Maxima in some time. Even so, I did take the time today to update my old signature, since there have been a few changes since the last time I was here.
Sadly nothing about Maximas since the 3rdGen stokes any fires under me and I DO miss my old chariot, even though it understeered like the pig that it always charmingly was. It's good to see that there's still enthusiasm for the old cars, even though stumbling across threads like this made me sad, and suddenly longing for my old 3G once again.
But I'm prattling on now. Here's to your health, all of you dedicated souls of the 3rdGen board. It warms the heart to see the flame still lit, and I'll try not to take so long in paying a visit the next time around.
But now I have to go. I still gotta find myself a pickup...

It's mostly the newer members who keep it alive, and a handful of dedicated old timers.
I get nostalgic even though I've been around the car for almost 25 years. Mostly when the heat is on, bringing out that great smell and takes you back to the earlier days. Who knows what it's from, it might be cancerous, but it's awesome.
