From: Houston
1. disconnect battery
2. climb under car.
3. remove old alternator with tools.
4. reverse procedure using new alternator.

alternator

Like everyone says disconnect negative battery cable.
Jack up car, remove front passenger tire, remove plastic
shield from under car. Release tension on alternator belt
There are 2 bolts on alternator top and bottom, I believe they are
either 12mm or 13mm, remove cables attached to alernator and remove alternator careful not to drop it on your head ouch!. Reverse order for installation. Good luck, if you have any other questions e-mail me.

If your pretty handy w/ tools it shouldn't take you more than an hour.

I have instructions with pictures on my site. It's for the VG engine, but the procedure should be the same.
