New Exhaust

Does anyone know what kind of exhaust I should get...I want one that isn't too loud. Are the Greddy systems loud? Thanks for the help.
By the way I'm new...I've been looking at the forums for the past month or so. I would just like to say hey. I have a 92 SE w/ 130,000 mi.

I haven't heard the greddy myself, but no one disputes that it is pretty damn loud.
Money is the main factor here. I personally would go custom.
start with a y-pipe - rt 2.5" cat - custom 2.5" catback to your choice of muffler...
The muffler you choose will be the biggest factor in noise/volume and exhuast tone.
money is the biggest factor.

yup...on my 90SE i've got custom 2.5" piping all the way back until the muffler which is 2.5" in and 4" out. All polished muffler, of course.....I had a dynomax turbo muffler, but I switched to a GReddy and I thought it was too loud, so I took it off and put the DynoMax back on. Dynomax's run about $200 and GReddy's are about $550. I also have a HKS straight pipe that a local import shop put on for me (I don't know how the hell they got it to work, but they did) and that made the car A LOT louder even with the dynomax muffler, so the GReddy just amplifies it. Just think of it (the GREDDY) as a dragster muffler. It's about the closest thing next to having nothing for an exaust as you can come.
I got my entire system custom made for me since it was a phenomenal price for a new Nissan y-pipe (it cracked after 9 years of life) and the Cattman y-pipes are unjustifiable in cost.
Basically, stock headers, 2.25" y-pipe (both front and rear pipes are of equal length for maximum torque), then 2.25" piping leading all the way through a straight through cat (looks like a cat on the outside, but it's just a straight 2.25" pipe on the inside without restrictions <grin>) to a straight through muffler.
Does it hammer? Hell yeah! It is highly illegal because the lack of a real catalytic converter, and since you guys need to perform emissions tests when registering your vehicles, I suggest you stick to the high-flow cat and 2.5" pipe formula the other guys have done here too. Because no matter how high flow the cat is, it's still restricting the flow somewhat. The 2.5" piping will help compensate this to get roughly the same gains as my straight through system.
But if you are going to get a custom y-pipe, either get the WarpSpeedPerformance y-pipe or otherwise get one custom made with equal length pipes. It DOES make a significant/noticeable difference.
