This pic is after a nice wash and wax late last winter. I had also just recently added the "GXE" fogs which are the same size as the "se" fogs, but a thinner.


Eibach/Tokico/FSTB...still on stock wheels and tires. Also...top half of Nissan nose mask.

What you can't see are the chips, scratches, crack in front bumper etc.......I really want a vq 5sp...I'm starting to save now but the decs. is so hard...mod this or save and upgrade. Its cheaper by far to mod this but it will never be anywhere near as fast as a vq 5sp.

89 shipped from courtesy...includes the fogs, wires, even the factory dash switch. Looks like it came this way from the factory...which it could..but most likely a dealer installed option. Anyway, they give you a switch right next to the mirror switch. Its where you have a blank piece of plastic now.

yea I know where the switch is, actually i took one off an se at the junk yard. was your car prewired? ive heard the the gxe's are already setup to install?

 

im just wondering how possible it is to make that engine swap for the vq. how much is the vq engine also? that would be nice to have that extra power from the vq. just something to think about though. i know someone that had his gxe auto converted to a 5sp. it cost his alot in labor. i think all together it was over 3k to have it changed. the mechanice said it was the hardest he had ever had to do. i would imagine to have the whole vq 5 speed conversion would cost hella lot. well, unless your doing it yourself, which would just be a complete pain in the ***.

 

Nope....the gxe's are not wired. The hardest part of the whole install is getting the wires from the engine...through a hole in the fender(engine side), above the splash guard and then back in the car near the door hindge...then finding the wire under the dash was a pain....I wish it was prewired.
