MAx muffler question

I want to add a performance muffler to my 91' SE...what size inlet do I need, I think it is 2 1/4 or something...also a lot of the universal mufflers I've seen (even ones on Ebay for a max) have a 2 1/2 inlet. Any help or suggestions on what to get and where, but nothing too expensive. Thanks

I think but not 100% sure it is 2 1/4 for our pipes. Have you tried searching?

If you really want a muffler with 2 1/2" inlet you could always take it to a muffler shop and they can probably fit it with an adapter or maybe neck it down.

WSP sells a stock-looking mild performance muffer for only $75. Lots of the small dual DTM mufflers on eBay look nice, but will be louder since they're straight-through design (the loudest type). If you're keeping your stock resonator it will keep things quieter, but I don't know how loud it still is. You just have to figure what kind of look you want, and how loud you want it, and go from there.
