92 sat for a while now won't start

92 maxima, work car. Paid 500 bucks for it and love it. Quit driving it for a while (maybe a year or so) and decided to start back. Battery was completely shot so I replaced it. Solenoid would click but starter wouldn't turn. Removed starter and bench tested, worked fine. Reinstalled, and still wouldn't start. Ran wire directly from battery to starter solenoid switch wire and stuck it in the plug, and the starter turned over. Reconnected plug and now the starter turns over fine using the key. But the car won't start.
I only mention all of this because I don't know if I may have done something with the hot wire to screw something else up.
Currently, when I turn the key forward, I do not hear the fuel pump coming on. A test light reveals no power to the fuel pump. Replaced the fuel pump relay in the trunk, checked the fuel pump fuse under the steering wheel and all is good.
Decided to check for any codes on the ECU using a procedure I found on here. Cannot get any lights on the ECU to come on.
Also, the security light is flashing all the time. I guess it's been doing this since I replaced the battery, but I'm not 100% sure. Oh, and the power door locks aren't working by the switch and when you push down on one the rest don't lock like they used to. Maybe security system related?
So that brings me here. Have I fried the ECU? Does the security system have something locked out? Or am I just missing something really simple? Any help would be appreciated.

Lock all the doors.
Try opening the Trunk with the key.
Then unlock the front door, make sure the car is in Park and start the car.

Thanks, I'll try tonight when I get off work or first thing in the morning and let you know how it works out. You seem very confident though...

Didn't do it. Same thing as before. Starter turns but that's it. Security light still flashing. Door lock switch still not working.

Wait, actually the door lock switch is working now...PROGRESS.

Still no lights on the ECU but I do have power to 2 of the 4 wires on the pump relay. Looking at the markings on the relay I'm guessing I'll get power to 3 of them if I can get this ECU working? Should this be my focus now and how can I diagnose this?

I thought the security alarm was tripping. It happened on my other Maxima and my ex-Cressida.
