My car has a S&B High Power air intake on it. My one friend has a 90maxse with a K&N and my other friend has a 90240SX with a enormous K&N on it. My car is obviously louder than there's.
The other day, I switched intakes with my friend with the 240. His car was almost as loud as mine!! I put his on my ride and it wasn't really loud at all. He payed something like 120 for his K&N and i got my S&B for 37 on the bay. If you guys can, check one of these intakes out. They don't mess around.
