My new 92 ve5

Some of you may have read my other posts about the two $500 junk third gens I bought at different times to fix up an enjoy, and how one was dead in the water from day one with a blown head gasket and the other just kept breaking faster than I could fix it.

Well I finally decided to pony up and make a play for the nicest one that was for sale in my area and had been for quite a while, the seller had been asking big money and finally came down a bit making the car a bit more easy to swallow but still a bit on the spendy side, despite needing a new wheel bearing and a set of tires. I have to say though, I have no regrets and am really enjoying it after taking care of those things. I've owned probably 12 maximas total, more than half being third gens and this is the nicest one yet.

I'll still make another attempt to fix the white 94 to be an every day car so that I can keep this one nice and well preserved, so I'll probably be looking to some of you for some advice, especially on finding parts and maintaining the VE engines.

I consider myself somewhat of a classic ford guy these days, although I'm not entirely exclusive. Thought I was done with Nissan but I guess it's not entirely out of my system.

Some good news.. The white 94 ve auto is now alive and well.. With the second or third new set of injectors it runs great. One problem however, if anyone is reading this, what makes the car idle up when it's first started? This car does not do that and requires a little throttle to keep it running once started.

Nice man. Looks like the driver side front of the hood needs one of those bushing stopper deals or maybe it's already got one and just screwed "in" too far.

Makes me want to drive my black VE a bit, but the thing is so finnicky and inexplicably poorly running that it just pisses me off and gets neglected.
