If you vehicle was somehow, like mine, I had a hole in my transmission. A part broken and a lot of kinetic energy was released. You didn't say where it was leaking.

the thing is it’s still driveable, not leaking crazy and not sure where but it’s leaking on the drivers side front, I’m most likely going to rebuild, but for now add Lucas

Some vehicles the ATF level on the dipstick fluctuate more than others, I remember my 3rd gen having wild fluctuation from cold to hot. Make sure you're checking the level after it's fully warmed up/been driven for a while and while running in park on a level surface

Trans leak doesn't mean it's going out, 3rd gens esp GXE the auto trans will start slipping when they're on the way out. 89-94 GXE and 89-91 SE the auto trans is designed for 4 cylinder engine and the torque of VG cooks them early. When the weather is nice pressure wash the underside, let it dry then let it idle for 15-30 minutes on ramps and see where the ATF is leaking from. Prob just an axle seal or trans pan seal
