When I start my car in the morning and rev the engine a little I hear a gargling sound coming from the engine. Like there is water in there or something. After I rev it 2 or 4 times the sound goes away.
Anyone have any idea what it could be? The car runs fine but the sound is scaring me.

i don't know what that is but i would get it checked out if i where you.

my car was making a noise for a long *** time and i didn't get it checked. then one day like 3 weeks later, i got tired of it and got it fixed. it was my power steering the high preasure line had a leak. now the noise wont go away. and just recently its been getting harder to turn my steering wheel.

No don't worry about it....both of my maxes do that...it's just the water pump....nothing to worry about at all. Seriously. No problems unless it always does that...It's just getting water into the "system"

Yes, likely coolant. I bled out the air and now mine is usually quiet. Small nut on top right side of engine by PCV.

what that is is there's air in your cooling system.. as Tick Tock said, you can simply bleed the air out.. I didn't know where the screw was, but it's pretty simple.

you shouldn't just ignore the problem, because air in the system can promote corrosion on the internal engine parts where the antifreeze dries when the car is shut off.. not good.

yeah i tried that and it stopped in my 92GXE but not in my 90SE....what does this mean? (it only does this for like 5 seconds when you first give it some gas[power])

Hi Roman,

How are you old man?
Bleeding the cooling system is quite important. To do it you must untighten the bolt*** on the intake manifold, open a radiator cup and add some pure water until the coolant begins to flow out through the bolt's threads.
Make sure the engine isn't hot.

*** THE BOLT is near the PCV valve. Its threads is of 6 mm diameter. You can easily find it - it's "alone" on that flat spot on the manifold.

Good luck,
DDD
