push button starter

has anyone installed one of these yet? how hard is it to do? i was thinking of getting one.

pretty easy actually.. just wire another button into the starter switch circuitry and you're set.

(buy a service manual and read the wiring diagrams. it's about 4 wires).

I still don't undertand the concept of this....you still have to put the key in the ignition!

Matt: i understand what your sayin. i was wondering though if there is a way to make it so you have to use the button to start. like make it so if you turn the key to start it just keeps the accesories turned on. you know what i mean?

yeah, the concept of it is kinda stupid. i just think it makes the interior look cooler. plus your friends will think its all james bond.

it can be done and it's not too hard (I haven't done it but I've read many sets of instructions for it)

search on google for it, there are many sites with it

also, check www.miata.net, they have a "garage tech" article on it that it pretty good
