i spoke with eric from andysautosport@mindspring.com who is interested in putting out a wide mouth or aggresive kit for our maxima's but we need the buyer's and idea's. I think it's time our car's step into millenium, my kaminari is not appealing to me anymore, if i could just get some numbers to throw around before i call again we can do the dam thang RESPOND IT'S TIME!!!!!!!!

 

If its a bumper replacement kit then ill pay up to $700 I know this is a good price because my freind PJ (maxima97gle) had a skyline kit made for 4th gens and his prices were around 700 shipped. I like Andy's kits, I was going to buy one for a prelude I was getting before I bought my se. If its only a lip kit like stillens then $450. also I assume the kits would be fiberglass not eurathane right? as long as the kit is somewhere between a shogun kit and the stillen kit and doesnt look like an 80's kit like

this kit for the 240 that he makes. it would look good on a 3rd gen. its basically the street fighter 2 kit that I sell for versus motorsport(the make it for almost every car but maximas lol), let me know if you need help aranging this, I have a performance shop so I can probably help you with somethings, If needed I can front the money for a few kits.

We've been trying that for years dude. The market isnt there, nor is the demand, aftermarket support, etc. Maybe a couple years ago we could've had something done, but certainly not at this point. Our cars are 10 yrs old. They'll need a thousand (maybe more than that) or so committed buyers to even think about prototyping. Dont even waste your time or get your hopes up on this. It's just too little, too late.

I would love to have a wide mouth aggressive kit , made from the factory. But I just can't see putting $700.00 into a kit on a 8 year old car. I just have to make due with mine. I am going to try and make the one I have a wide mouth. Doesn't look like it is going to be a DIY job though.

Man, you have some tight gauges...does that sound wrong to anyone else? anyways, where did you get them and did they cost as expensive as they look?

 

Those guages come standard on 2002 SE's.

 

I have 400.00 tops on it. If you can make a stillen front lip look like this then im definatly in or something even more agressive. this style is actually an eclipse front end.i would love a total shogun kit. I used paint shop pro 7.

it would need "proper" sideskirts and rear valence as well.....a front like that would look corny as hell with no matching parts! but I like that idea....not paying $700 though maybe, just maybe $350-400.

I am definately in... I have been thinking about getting a custom kit made by some guys i found a long time ago from Australia but got sidetracked with doing the ECU upgrade, and suspension so put the body kit on hold till now. Let me know specifics ASAP cause I would be interested for sure within a month max no BS!

James, PJ put his deal to gether with only ten kits, and im almost sure they'd do it if we got ten kits. and like he said it would be the whole kit so it would match the front. Dennis good job, I was gonna do the pic from the side tonight with the side skirts. $700 shipped isnt that bad for a kit that only around 10 people will have and ill pay for it.

I would pay $700 for that KIT .. i just got a small job so im saving. plzzz make that SkyLine KIT its soo nice.... im sure 100s of max owners would buy it! well if they make it ill buy it!!!!

 

Please make it something tasteful, and something that goes with the lines of the car(unlike that red.. thing..). Maybe a Wings West style with the front bar cut out. Also something functional too(vents, downforce, lips, etc)..

 

i should get a callback on monday,anyone interested should post here or on the poll, its good to have the numbers, if a good kit is made there could be more if other people see numbers, i remember years ago when no one could get it together, but that doesnt mean to quit! kits have become much more popular in the past few years, i don't know if youve been out your house lately but i see 88 accords with new kits why would a car that spans from years 89-94 be to old? anyway i hope it works out ill be profilein

It must have a badass look to it, non of this old school 80's look like on custommaxima.com's website, like some people said, it must come with side skirts and rear bumper, and maybe even a nice little wing, not big or anything, but just alittle bigger than normal, I think then it would be badass. I'm interested too, give me more details, and price, so I can start saving my money.
