max faster when cold???

Does anyone have this problem? Well it's not really a problem it's pretty damn cool! When I first start my car when it's been sitting for awhile i will take off and it seems to have alot more power. Does this kind off act like a CAI would do??

Cold air is much denser than warm air, therefore you're getting more oxygen per cubic foot than in warmer weather.

Yeah and also translates to quicker engine damage since you are not at the engine's optimum operating temperature.

Yeah the cooler air is denser and when the engine is cold the ECU pumps in more fuel

I always believe that a warm engine and transmission along with cold weather will give you the most power. Please don't punch it when your car is still cold. Your car feels fast becasue the air outside is cold, not because your engine is cold. Warm up your baby before you ride it hard . Warming your engine to the proper temperature isn't enough imo, you should drive your baby around for a good 10-15 mins so that your transmission fluid is at a nice warm temp before you rip it.

It's probably because the TB hasn't had a chance to be ROASTED yet by the coolant lines leading into it and around it. Mr.Rose did a bypass on some of these lines by disconnecting them and joining some of them up with small chunks of metal tube. He reported how much cooler the intake manifold/TB felt to the touch after this. (Go and touch your manifold with the engine warm - the INTAKE, not the exhaust! and you'll see what he means.) Don't know on the longterm affects of this if any because he's offline (don't flood him w/ questions ), but he said he could feel a difference.

Don't know/can't remember if anyone else has attempted this free mod though...

Oh yeah, and I agree. Don't run the car hard before everything's warmed up. Seals and clearances aren't where they're supposed to be at yet.
