Clutch Recomendations

Ok I can now rev my car while in gear, time for a new clutch.
I don't want to go all out, my car will probably never see a turbo or any thing like that plus I drive through Providence traffic about ten times a day. So does anbody have personal experience with a peformance clutch in a Maxima. What brands, What price, ect

Have you tried the search?

A lot of people like ACT, but speak smack about Centerforce. If you drive around in it alot though, and like you say aren't getting boost or NOS, I wouldn't bother getting a performance clutch. Do you need the extra grip for something (racing, chirping 2nd and 3rd gear, etc)? A performance clutch will be stiffer and more demanding to drive than an OEM clutch, which can handle quite a bit of power on its own so I've heard. Just don't get the "value" clutch kit if you go OEM again. That's what people say although I confess I don't know why.

For the stock feel, and effort go stock.

If you are going to do power mods, ACT Street Clutch
http://www.eatricezone.com Phuong is a great guy, he'll treat you right.

If you want to go all out, have your flywheel lightened at the same time...

yup. what they said.

I've got an ACT. love it. have about 15k miles on it now, and it drives as easily as stock. no chatter or anything. only thing I don't like is the pedal is pretty stiff. it's a hardly noticeable difference between the ACT and stock, so I wouldn't worry about that part.

I just received my ACT in the mail yesterday. So excited, now just another 2 weeks for the flywheel and then it all goes in the shop. (not taking this one on by myself)

Phoung is the #1 place through but he's always out of stock so i went through Nippon Power. www.nipponpower.com they were only 8 bucks more then Phoung and it was delievered the day they said it would be with all the parts and they were all correct.
