Check this idle problem

After my car came out from the mechanic (auto tranny rebuild) I noticed this problem:

When I turn my car on the rpms are like 800 to 1k but when I turn on the A/C the revs drop to like 550-600and when I put the D the car olmosts shut off.
some time i start the car and the rpms are like 1700 to 2k and the car begins to drop and up the rpms very quick and I have to turn the A/C on to drop the RPMS to like 1100.
Some times when i start the car the rpm are low (800) but when i drive and i stop are high (1800)!!!!
The car its suposed to automaticaly lift the rpms when I turn the A/C on so the should be in the same pos when the a/c is on or off.

Like 2 years ago I experience the same pro but was unplugged plug from the IACV-ACC valve and when I plugged it was fix but I check the plug and was plugged. I plug and unplug it several times to see what happend and nothing.

Have any one a sugestion for this problem?

BTW:
I did search and read like 50 theads and dont find anything

Have you ever actually replaced your IACV? They do go bad. Buy a can of Ether (startup helper) and spray around your intake, intake manifold PCV fitting and throttle body. If you have a vacuum leak the engine will surge when the spray hits it. Vacuum leaks can screw up your idle, but it just sounds like you IACV isn't working. Cheaper to check everthing else first and then go get an IACV. Your throttle body itself might need to be cleaned also, but like I said before, I think it's the IACV not working correctly.

If you pluged and unplugged the AAC and nothing happened, wouldn't that mean something is wrong with the AAC?

It's IACV-AAC valve. AAC is Auxiliary Air Control

You could get the valve at a junkyard or a dealer. I also suggest getting a haynes or chiltons manual. It gives procedures to test (w/ ohmmeter) all the little electronic sensor that go bad in our cars. Good Luck!

Auto parts stores most commonly. Bookstores can order them sometimes. Some online bookstores. Try some online parts stores too like the big ones (maybe JCWhitney).
