security system
Just wanted to know if anyone knew how to disalarm a security system on a Maxima. Someone tried to break into my car and busted the keyholes and then i was using the buttons on the door to get in and out of the car. A couple days ago that stopped working also, so the car was locked. I got the locks opened but since i didn't use the buttons on the door or the key the alarm has been activated. If anyone knows how to disalarm it without using the key or the buttons on the door, please let me know, it will greatly appreciated. Thanks
you'll have to tap into the wiring harness, but it can be done. all you'll have to do is touch the factory alarm disarm wire to ground.
First thing you should do after you get the car running again is get your lock(s) replaced.. go to a junkyard for the locks if you have to. they're not really even that expensive from the dealer, and they can probably match them to your old key so you don't have to carry around 5 different keys to get into your car.
As for which wire, you can call your local car stereo shop and they'll be able to show you in a matter of seconds which wire it is. my website is messed up right now, so I can't look it up..
