did you have a headlight go out while you were taking pics or did you wire it so that they are independent or something like that?

looks nice but you should have put it in from the front so its flush with the grille frame. i did mine like that. you cant tell from the picture. thats old i need to put the new one up. i painted the grille body color and painted the mesh white, it looks tight. makes the mesh show up better, you cant even really see the mesh in the pic i have now. i'll show you what i mean when i get the new pics up in a couple of days.

btw....whats the red in the grille?

James, how hard was it to do that, I'm thinking of making a chrome colored mesh grille, but I want my Nissan emblem on there still..how hard is it to keep that on?

its pretty easy to do it from the front. just get the basic grille pattern and then fold the edges over and push it in fromt the front. looks much nicer this way. as far as the emblem i dont know how to keep it on. i havent had my nissan emblem for a couple of years so i cant really think of how to hook it on. i'm planning on putting a gtr emblem on there when i get some money so i'll see about that then.

What do you mean the basic grille pattern? do you eman get the size of the opening where I will be putting the mesh? and then, also, what do you mean, "fold the edges over and push it in fromt the front"

basically just get the exact pattern of the grille opening and then leave about a half inch around all the sides. then cut that out. this pattern should be the exact grille pattern but a half inch bigger. know what i mean? then carefully just fold over the edges and work it into the grille frame. the mesh should be flush with the grille and the half inch of folded over mesh serves as support. know what i mean?

just like making a pattern, you always want to make it a little bigger than it actually is. just make the mesh a half inch bigger than the actual size of the grille opening. this half inch is then folded over. get it?

do you mean how to prepare the stock grille? you just cut out all the bars in the middle leaving just the frame. cut it however you want with saw or dremel tool or something. then just sand it smooth and paint. i dont know what more to tell you about pushing it in from the front. i took bunch of pictures demonstrating this so they should explain exactly what i mean. dont know how to put it into words. they should be up in a couple of days.
