Confirm location of fuel pump

I have an automatic 92SE . I need to change fuel pump .
Is the fuel pump in the gas tank or under the back
seat ?

Haha, "the fuel tank is in the trunk" oh brother.

The access plate for the fuel sending unit and pump assembly is located at the top of the fuel tank, and is accessible by removing the back seat's bottom cushion. You will see wires wrapped in a blue shielding going to a black grommet into a silver access panel.
