here in Cincy the weather is getting cold (high of 30 today!) and the rear struts on my max like to squeak when the car goes over a bump. any ideas on what the problem could be or if it is a problem at all?

Not on my max, but i've had rubber bushing squeak on me before. Just an idea.

And now that you mention it the squeaking does get worse in the cold.

Unfortunately I am at as much of a loss as you are for the couse.

it's wicked.

It's probably a mount or bushing or washers.

Mine too! But it only happens in cold >40 degrees, like on my way to school in the morning and i go over bumpy road, and either my front right or back right or both squeak and sound like something is crunching, like eating a bag of chips or something, its wierd.... it seems after the car warms up, i dont hear it anymore too.

Yeah, since its gotten colder I just started to notice my *** end squeaking when I go over bumps. Speed bumps especially. Does anyone know if this means new struts? Or does it just mean its cold out?
