curious problem with clutch

did a job today on a 91 SE 5 spd
we're having a weird problem with the clutch
sporadically, the pedal goes to the ground easily and the clutch engages too low...

now we replaced master cyl, slave cyl, and clutch hose
what else could it be? the tranny itself? i dont really think so

Did you use new OEM parts or Pep Boyz parts on the master and slave cylinders? I've not always had the best of results with non-OEM parts. (Although I've found that NAPA is usually a lot better than the rest)

I believe it was an OEM master cylinder
and NAPA slave...
the stuff is all brand new out of box...

im unsure if there really is a problem or the owner is just ****
perhaps i'll try adjusting the pedal so the release point is higher
