93 Infinity I30JT differences to a 93 Maxima??

I just came from my buddies business. They got in a 93 Infinity I30Jt. It has 120 K on it and has a bad auto tranny. I was just checking her out and lifted the hood, thinking I would see the VE engine but it was a v-6 with the cylinder banks lined up side to side. Any one with knowledge on this please educate me as to engine info.
BTW the car can be had for around 2K. It was apparently up on a lift and the building caught fire so it smells like smoke. Its body looked ok. Dark brown with leather.

Not even worth a comparasion. It's closer to a Infinity M30 or na 300z. uses the VG30DE engine and it's RWD. Nice car though. Funky soap bar design

VG30DE

210 HP / 6400 RPM. 193 ft-lb. / 4800 RM - 7000 RPM redline. It did 0-60 MPH in 8.8 sec new (4-speed auto) It's a heavy car (3589 lbs) so performance-wise, it's not that different from a Maxima.

If I rememeber correctly, this car is built on a stretched 300ZX chassis. Super-HICAS 4-wheel steering was available just like the 300 ZX (probably the same parts)... Which leads me to my next point. I have a feeling that a 300ZX 5-speed would probably bolt right in. It's RWD, so laborwise, it's probably not too bad.

The JDM version on this car was called the Nissan Leopard J Ferie. Funny name, but there was an optional engine that was not avail in the U.S. J30 - The V8 VH41DE with 270 HP. This leads me to believe that a VH45DE (Q45 engine) would probably bolt-in. That would be a nice sleeper.

The design of the car is a little weird in my opinion, but it did have some advanced features for the time (projector headlights, dual air bags & limited slip)
