I recently purchased a 1992 Maxima SE with 107000km(that's about 66000 miles for you US boys, I'm in Toronto) with 5speed MT.
Can I use GL5 75W90 gear oil instead of GL4 80W90 as recomended in the manual, would this do any harm? And does anyone know how much gear oil should be used,the manual does not say, I believe the tranny would hold 5L. Any recomendations on gear oil types?

i used redline synthetic MT90 which is a 75w90 substitute,i believe you can use the 75w90,MTL,or the MT90,mine stopped filling at 4 and a half quarts
