Alarm with LCD opinions?

http://7925.adahost.com/computer/item12784.html

I was just wondering if this system is any good? or if its all show no go. I want an alarm with someway I can know if the alarm is going off, this one just seems to be prced really low for all it does.

I have that same alarm and it's great and the range is incredible. I say go for it. I got mine thru e-bay. one thing I should tell you though is that if you do decide to get it the first thing you should do is TURN DOWN THE SHOCK SENSOR cuz it comes from the factory on a super sensitive setting and that remote will drive you nuts when it goes off every ten seconds cuz of thunder or your neigbor starting there car or other cars riding by yours.

If it does all it says it does, that's one helluvan alarm. My $500 Clifford doesn't even do all that.

did you add it to an exiting alram? or just this one by its self? also did you do the install? If you had someone else do it did they have an easy or hard time?

I have the alarm coexisting with the stock anti-theft device. I some local guys do the install, and the guy actually took longer to put my sub and amp in, so i guess he didn't have a very hard time, and yes matt it does do all that and I picked mine up for $200 on e-bay.
