Car doors locking automatically

I did a search to see if any one else has had this problem. I have started my 93 SE up, closed door and went inside to allow car to warm up. Upon returning, doors are locked with keys in ignition, running. It has happened quite a few times. Latest time was to my buddy, who was doing some touch up paint work for me while i was on Vacation.
Any one else with this problem? It sounds like several have, but no solution was offered. I ALWAYS carry en extra key in my billfold. This has bailed me out on plenty of occasions.

Same deal here. But ONLY in cold weather. I just keep a spare handy. I got my Max used and got the service contract with it. I had it in the shop last week for a few fixes and asked them to check it out, but they didn't have a clue. Service contract rep said to take it to the dealer for a fix. When it's done I'll post the fix.

Yep, happened to me. I was about to take my boys to school, went to warm up the car, got out, closed the door and "click". Doors locked. No spare at the time. A call to the locksmith, $25.00 and 1 1/2 hrs later, I was in. Needless to say, my boys were late for school. I never warm up my car unattended anymore.

Mine does that all the time, that's why I always run screaming when I see people shutting the door "GET THE KEY OUTTA THE IGNITION, FOOL, OR I SHALL SMITE THEE WITH MY SPOON!"
Hehe, but seriously... I can take the key out of the ignition with it running, so I don't have to worry about it unless I'm not driving

Hehe, and I re-programmed my keyless entry, so unless my passenger side door handle is say, embedded in a concrete wall, I can get into the car anyhoo
Can't from drivers side, that first button you have to press is worn out, and I'm too cheap to buy a replacement
