How do I clean out the throttle body in my 90 maxima?

I also get bad mileage on my maxima? I gave it a complete tune up. I am going to replace the o2 sensor in the exhaust and the cat. converter with a high flow converter? Will the mileage improve?

 

do a search on the throttle body stuff.. it's a common item.


the O2 sensor swap will probably add some gas mileage, but only if that's what's wrong with the car.. there can be a host of things wrong with our cars at this age, and symptoms will sometimes cover themselves up because of other problems.

but if the O2 sensor hasn't been changed in over 100k miles, then it's time for a new one.
