Hello everyone,

There is this kid in town that has a honda si that I believe is an earlier model around early 90's that thinks he has the best car in town. I have a 91 GXE. I need to have some opinions before I try to show him off. Don't want to make an a$$ of myself. I belive its a 5 speed. Thanks alot.

is it modded? a couple of mods on those bad boys and you won't catch him

 

I don't think so but im not sure. From my guess of the sound it just sounds like a stock 5 speed. All of that i know is that he has subs in the back that will weight it down a little. But then again so do I.

 

well i can tell you the early 90's SIs run low to mid 16's stock in the 1/4 mile vs. your upper 16 to lower 17's for the VG auto. it would be a somewhat close race and would come down to your friends ability to drive manual....just race him and find out...

And it might be even a better race for ME. I was thinking about getting a new muffler also nothing to expesive though do you have any suggestions or anyone have any suggestions thanks a lot.

 

Are you racing him at a track under controlled conditions?? If not you are a total idiot.
Get your CAI and take it to the track before you kill someone in your GXE.

 

I have a 93 SE with the VE engine 5 spd with some mods and i raced a SI and we were side by side all the way down the track.

 

what year was the SI and what mods did it have??

 

I have not had trouble with any SI yet!

 

my guess is 99+ then run low 15's stock and 14's with some mods which is comparable to a VE 5spd
