front bumper

the paint on my front bumper is peeling..really bad. i'm the second or third owner of my car and i believe the car has been repainted once already. do you think it would be easier to try to find a new bumper or just get it repainted (my car is black)? thanks

I would just get it painted. The bumpers are kinda rubbery so the paint cracks realy easy. Or you could the stillin. On the bright side I bumped the frame of the garage door pulling in the other day and all I got was scuff marks

Both my front and rear bumpers have alot of pressure crack and i went to see if i could get them re-painted, but Macco said these cracks will show up again. Even if sanded, more than likely you would still beable to see them. I would try to get a new one or one in better shape.

If you get it repainted you have to tell them you need FLEX mixed in the paint other wise the same thing will happen. you need the FLEX additive when ever you paint rubbery surfaces.

Yea just get a new one and have it painted. There not that expensive and it will look brand new, instead or repainted or sanded down. I replaced mine.

its pretty easy....about 12+/- bolts to remove...4 behind the right fender liner, another 4 behind the left side fender liner and 4-5 bolts near the front grill on the top of the bumper....if the bolts are rusty though, you might have to have a shop do it for you with air tools!
