Well....i bought this car used 8 months ago....it had 150,000 miles, and in great condition.....the only problem with the car was that it felt sluggish, and powerless at times...(i guess the same problem a lot of other 92 SE's are having)...anyways...to make a long story short...I blew the motor up after having the car a week....really no idea why this happened....i didnt over rev it, or run it without enof oil, or overheat it......just goin down the freeway at 100mph in 5th gear....the only thing before this happened was when i started it 30 min earlier when it was cold, it made a noise that sounded like a valve ticking...anyways...i put in a used motor from a 1994 SE in it ....the thing is now....#1 it still has that sluggish problem...(made me think it mite be some kinda exhaust problem) cat, o2 sensor, ect......#2 when I start the car when its cold...it makes a very noticeable (loud) knocking noise for about 5-20 minutes...sounds like its coming from under the valve cover on the back of the motor...same place the ticking noise was at on the last motor that was in it....#3 after its been driven when i shut it off for a few min, and start it back up...it sounds like there this kinda squeel noise when i accelerate the motor (between 2-3000 rpm)it goes away after a couple minutes of running (comes from under the front valve cover)........not really sure which problem to start with...or what I can do myself to see whats going on in this car. any and all ideas would be totally cool to hear about
