Cheap and easy Mods

I was wondering if anyone out there knows any cheap and easy mods to make my car look more show quality, either via the outside or the engine. Is there a paint that you can use on your engine block, like to paint the nissan letter on the valve covers, and what should i use to polish the other part of the valve cover, sandpaper and steel wool or what?>??????

The first question you should ask MaxMan is how does my car run? If it runs like crap, what's the point of making it look good?

If it's running fine, then look to dress it up. I would recommend steel wool for any polishing you do. I've never done it on a valve cover but i've used it for other parts with no problems. Just keep in mind that once you start polishing, you'll have to keep doing it from time to time. For painting, you can use either engine or caliper paint. Your profile says you work at Pep's, they should carry both.
