Help! Problem with car is back!

Aright i made a thread a week ago about my car not running right after i cleaned the engine. Since then i took out all the coils and made sure they were dry, replaced the plugs even though the others were fine, replaced pcv valve cause i neved have done i t before. So anyway it is a cold damp wintery day and it is running horrible again, prolly 10m/gal, feels like fuel is not getting there or ignition isnt firing. So whats my next step?

I brought my car to the dealer! No codes or anything, they said it seems to be running fine. Well it is still acting up. Yesterday was a nice hot day and it still was doing this. What the **** is it?

The only vacuum lines (and related hoses) mentioned in my manual are for the vapor canister. That black(?) canister that collects the fuel vapors and recycles it back to the gastank. Check that.

I wonder if it's possible you've somehow created an intake leak somewhere?.... That's another thing it mentions. It also mentions the oxygen (exhaust) sensor, and you can test it, but I would've thought that'd throw up a trouble code.

I have a brand new O2 sensor. If it is a leak wouldnt nissan see that, the problem is when i brought it to them it was running ok, sometimes its fine other times its not. But ill look into that vapor canister. Thanks
Ok also i tried to advance the timing after i had this problem see if it could make it go away it just made it 10 times worse. Dont know if that helps.

I don't think Nissan would check for an intake leak (not 100% sure, just a hunch). You have to spray stuff (carb cleaner? can't remember ) around the intake sealing surfaces with the engine running and see if it sucks any in and raises the idle. That's if it's a gasket problem, which I have a tough time seeing being caused by a wash. Have you checked the vacuum hoses and connections on/to the manifold? Maybe one of them got blasted loose or cracked.

Ok its still doing this! I replaced the vacuum lines which did have some cracks and all, i didnt get the the bigger ones but they looked ok to me, no visible cracks or anything. Tommorow im going to do the fuel filter for kicks, didnt test the vapor canister, how do u test it? Could it be fuel related maybe? I have a aftermarket pump and fpr waiting to put in but i want to make sure this is fixed or i could cause other problems or make it worse.

Thats my original post. Its just hesitating when i step on the gas, not letting the rpms raise fast like they should. The car still moves just not as fast and you can hear the car bogging down or whatever. As far as smelling fuel no i do not. I used to smell a exhaust/gas smell, but i have not noticed it in awhile. The problem with bringing it to somone is it doesnt always do this so they may not see a problem.

test the voltage on you injectors...standard is 10-14ohm and get yourself a Haynes manual at least. also run a compreison test, not sure of the VE, but standard PSI on the VG is 120-170. not too familiar with the VE so thats all the input I can give....

had something like this:

1. check the air flow meter (or change it)
2. could be 1 or 2 injectors..

just my 2 cents..and i am going on the part you talked about hesitation while accelerating...

with the air flow...the car will be driving ok then shut off.

with the injectors..it would give you skip in idling ever so often..and you can notice the skip by looking at the rpms..it never stays constant or also by listening to the muffler at back...you will actually hear it best there...skip skip nice..skip skip...nice..

hope it helps.

i was foolin around at the track yesterday and advanced my timing some...i did it 2 much cause the car would hesitate when i was going constant speed on the highway, like little bumps when i was goin, nothing big and no noises really, but when i first ran the car did ****, like bogged a couple times and then ran fine...what im gettin at is u said u were messin w/ the timing, maybe just try turning it back a little, not sure what else, i dont know 2 much...sorry

intermittant shorts when they are damp.

UPDATE: f*** f*** f***
Anyway i brought it back to Nissan, the guy put 6 hours into looking at it, and i have to pay for 2= $120. They said the ecm-ecu is bad. He said with all the performance stuff i got it could have been overworked or whatever. He also said replacing it may not solve the problem if it just compensating for somthing else. I guess ill go with the JWT ecu, but i want to do more mods before i get it but i cant. Im going into the air force in 2 weeks, so i wont have my car for like a couple months. So what should i do??? I guess it will have to sit broken for awhile. Do you guys think replacing the ecu will solve all even though they say its the problem?
