dry ice removing dents
#1
is this something that can be done at home and not cause any damage to your car? i have some hail damage that i would like to get rid of. the method ive heard of is ona hot day 90+ put a thin rag over the dent and then place dryice on top of it. then the dent will pop pout due to the coldness. anyone anyone?

yes
well i dunno but you can try it out for us and report back. you can either try it out on your own car (doesn't sound dangerous) or you can try it on a scrap piece of sheet metal from a car junk yard or something. sounds interesting.

I would recommend leaving that up to a professional..
the dry ice could ruin the paint because when you touch the dry ice to it, the paint will contract much faster than the metal underneath.. this could cause the paint to crack..
if you really wanna try it, I'd say the same as above- take some dry ice to a junkyard and try it out on a messed up car there.. find one with a door ding or something and see what you can do with it..
I wouldn't try it out on your max- yeah it's got hail damage and not much to lose, but still.... it'd sure suck to peel the paint off an already damaged car.
