i know i don't have a ABS on mine....but oh how i wish i had a moonroof/sunroof (what is tha difference by the way).

I think it depends on how old the Max is, but I think you had to get a sunroof and/or a airbag to get the ABS. Best way to tell is just by looking under the hood though.

Mine is a 91 SE 5 speed with ABS, roof and no leather. I believe the roof was standard on all SE's from 89-91 then became an option in 92. Airbags were not available until 92. And didnt all 3rd gens have the clothesline seatbelts?

ok here's the skinny on ABS..
ABS was a addon package...which includes bridgestone summer tires.
i'm sure those tires are longggg gone by now.
so to answer the 1st question...it wasn't standard on the 92SE.

air bags were available on 92 and up.

all SE had sunroof as std option
GXE i believe it was a option..(not too sure..it could be std too)

the automatic restrain was std until (possible the last yr of the car 94?)...i might be wrong on that part. also i believe models in canada had manual belts.

all 89-91SE had sunroof standard, after that it became an option

I have leather, abs and probably almost every se option but no SR. To reduce the price, I think Nissan moved the SR from std to option.

Yes, ABS was optional..by itself.

I have leather, MOONroof, and all the other gismos, just no ABS.....dont mind it one bit though.

as for the difference between the names....I think its like this...

Moonroof = Glass
Sunroof = No glass....metal or plastic and it would be body panel colored. I think 92-97 preludes have sunroofs, along with....new cougars i think...anyhow....
