air intake tube
Can that plastic air intake tube on the 3rd generation maxima's be washed out to be cleaned of any dirt that might be in there. I ask that because I see a square/rectangular shaped portion of the tube that looks like something is suppose to collect there.

its really just there to quiet down the intake noise
not much stuff will get past the filter
and anything that does probably wont get past the screens to the maf
if it does, it will just get sucked into ur engine
i dont really see the need to clean it out
last month when i put in my cai, all that tubing was spotless after 10 years
the airbox is a different story
that gets nasty in there
