break job

I'm going to be doing a break job in the near future. I heard that once you bleed your breaks, you can't repressurize them? I dont know how true that is though...is it right? Also, why would you need to bleed the breaks? maybe newbie should be underneath my name still..

the quick version..
brakes is hygroscopic (how ever u spell it). it asorbs water in the air.

water in brake fluid is bad...rusting and etc.

if brakes are bled correctly you should be fine. do it wrong and you'll be doing it for a while.

bleading the brakes also helps to clear out the contaminents that can get in there when you're replacing the brakes. Plus, you get new fluid which is good. The more water in the brake system, the lower the boiling point and the mosre likely you're brakes will overheat and turn to mush when you really need them.
