Need help with Exhaust Manifold Studs

Car putters at idle - sounds like a truck when accelerating

I've been searching for a while for a good write up (pics?) on

replacing missing exhuast studs and the whole process of

assembly/disassembly. I've seen a write up on this but its pretty

glossy on the details.

So, Does anyone know of a webpage with a

good write up (=so easy that a monkey can do it) or maybe some

pics off the FSM on replacing exhuast manifold studs ?

Lemme know thx!

it's a common sense job. remove the parts in front of the manifolds until you can remove them. replace the studs and drill out the broken ones. put eveyrthing back together.

If you can't figure out how to do this job just by looking at it, then it would be best if you left it to someone who can.

Ok, NOW I know exactly how to do it thanks!!

Damax - thanks for the link, I did read that a few days ago...helpful for sure.

Thanks for the info guys - I feel pretty confident that I can get to the front studs, I just wanted to dig up as much info as I could before I try to tackle the backside - I heard you have to remove the cylinder head or something - that I can say is not in my common sense
