I have a 90SE and it has the VG30E engine in it.For whatever reason I have to change the engine in that car but I want to put the VG30DE in that hottie. Do you think that will be easy to do. I know that the 92-94 SE has that engine in them. Can I get some help please??

The 92-94 se has a VE30DE which is not the same as the Vg30De. either one will be difficult to swap as the electronics for the ignition are a different design

it's possible to install a VE30DE in your car, but you'll have to do a lot or re-wiring.. the entire wiring harness on the engine must be swapped out, as well as the ECU.. it will bolt up, but you also have to have the tranny off the VE engine.. they're completely different..

I know of one or two people that have done it, but I don't recommend it.. with a few hundred $ in mods, you can come close to the performance of that engine anyway..
IMO, that alone makes it a waste to spend $1000 on an engine and $2-3000 on a tranny.
(for that much money, you could turbo your VG and have much more power.

I dun' remember the name, but he did it in his 90 or 91 when he blew/killed/hydrolocked/no-oiled his VG and it died a horrible death..
if I remember correctly, he had a really good deal on a wrecked VE (like $100 for the whole car or something), and he took it to a shop and said "change 'em out."

Yes you can put a VG30DE into your car. Just drive down to houston and give SGP racing $4k and you can drive off the lot with a stage III 200fwhp VG30DE. However you could just buy a VE30DE/wire harness/ECU for like $1000-1600 and be done wiht it . Man I hope you have a 5spd because if you don't, the car is still gonna be slow. That is unless you invest another $1k in tranny mods (VB and higher stall TC).
