anyone wire up a remote start and keyless entry?
i was planning on using it with the stock alarm. it will work right? I know i have to take care of the clutch switch, but that's cool. Also, for 60 bucks you can get the sensor for the transmission. anyway, any problems we run into? i searched for some stuff, but didn't come up with anything good. thanks guys.

i put an alarm in my max...not that hard just get a test light or multi-meter...theres a way to have the after market alarm disarm the factory alarm when it disarms...you gotta use two diodes
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....ghlight=diodes
someone told me that there is a wire at the ecu that indicates hat the car is in gear...i tried all the wires at the ecu and couldnt find it. maybe the person meant for autos?

easy peasy
the keyless entry part is very easy
stock alarm isn't bad either, search some more; I've posted the info a few times to use it in conjunction with the keyless
remote start requires more wiring and a few relays, most of the info is out there also in the land of the search
nissan uses 2 starter wires so you need a relay for that
some people just put a jumper on the clutch switch so you never have to press the clutch to start, but it's better to use a relay to give it power
usually the starter will have a -output while starting (for some relays), use this to drive a relay to give power to that switch, also use it for a relay with the nuetral wire
I've posted that wire before too but I guess you couldn't find it - it's a solid brown wire on the near side of the ECU at pin 44 I think
like Matt said, use that sensor to the hood pin input so it wont start when it's in gear

thanks so much guys, i think right now i'm just gonna wire up the remote entry, i'll do the car starter when i get the thing starting correctly. I appreciate all the help. Car security is greek to me The keyless/starter was free from a buddy of mine. I put a lower control arm on his Z and he knew i didn't have keyless, so he's like "dude, it's the least i can do" lol
