Hesitation and stall...

First of all I would like to say I am glad to see others who love the Max as I do. Anyway I been trying to solve a problem with my 1992 Maxima GXE for the the last year or so. When I press the accelerator, sometimes it will stall or hesitate. Other times it is fine. Sometimes the car will lose power while I am stepping on the accelerator. When this happens, I tend to let up on the accelerator a bit and press down again and repeat until I gain power again. This is what I have done in the last year to solve the problem: Tune up w/ new spark plugs and wires, changed the oxygen sensor and PCV valve, had the fuel injectors inspected (no problem), used fuel injector cleaner anyway, cleaned the throttle body, and used gas treatment. None of these seem to give me a 100% fix. Any other suggestions to consider?
Allow me to throw another thing into the mix. My speedometer does not work (sensor went bad 4 years ago). A mechanic friend of mine told me that this could be the problem. Does any one know if that is true? Please advise.

your electrical box could be burnt out due to, too many electrical things put on, which puts your car like a couple notches off so it loses power and hesitates, trust me it mite be that

i don't think so.

Check your fuel pressure and make sure it's right where it belongs.

Clean the vacuum hoses with some throttle body cleaner. Especially any hose by the intake.

Good luck.

I get the same problem with my 93 Max SE. I have noticed that my car does it between 2000 - 3000 rpm when its relatively cold. I dont know what to do about this.

i think the throttle position only messes w/ how the tranny shifts and the idle speed...my car hesitated/almost died at the track once becuase i had advanced my timing to far...it was trying to go, then slowed, then raced, slowed...it wouldnt run right until i let off the gas a little...so check the timing...maybe thats it????
