Bose question

I was wondering if anyone else's left front speaker just works faintly with the tape and a little louder with the radio. Is thier any way of fixing without just buying a whole new system. Its really ****ing me off. Thanks for the help. Also if i replace the head unit do I gotta replace all the bose speakers. Thamks

Should prolly ask in the Audio/Electronics section, but first you need to find out if it's the speaker or headunit...
Chances are it's the HU, but I've seen it happen when the coils inside the speakers degrade, or blow out.
I'm not sure with Bose, but any other speaker I'd take out and hook it up to an OHM-Meter and measure the resistance... If I could remember Ohms Law and could calculate it out for a DC current
And then try hooking up a different speaker to it, one that works, and see if that's low or not.
